Biography
 
Geoffrey Horne

Geoff came to the practice of law after a career in professional and high-performance sports.  He was the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays from 1993 to 1997, and was part of the World Series championship team in 1993.

Following the Blue Jays, Geoff returned to Calgary where he was the Athletic Therapist for the National Men’s Hockey Team from 1997 to 1999.  While with the National Hockey Team, he had the opportunity to travel to many countries around the world, and was the Head Athletic Therapist for Team Canada at two World Hockey Championships.

Geoff was called to the Bar in Alberta in June 2003 and specializes in residential real estate conveyancing, with an interest in condominium governance issues, as well as Wills and Estate matters and small business law.  He enjoys teaching the Basic Business Law course, in both Calgary and Edmonton, for the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta.  Upon being called to the Bar, Geoff joined Sandy Cameron as a partner in Cameron Horne Law Office.

Geoff enjoys reading, yard work, scuba diving, and curling, and is happily married to Jordanna.  They have one daughter, Havanna.

Nellie Dhanji

Nellie joined Cameron Horne Law Office in October 2008, after receiving her law degree from the University of Manchester. She worked as a legal assistant while studying for and writing her Canadian Accreditation Examinations. Upon the successful completion of her examinations in December 2009, Nellie continued with Cameron Horne Law Office as an articling student.

During her studies toward her law degree at the University of Manchester, Nellie was actively involved in the University of Manchester Pro Bono Society and the Legal Advice Centre in Manchester. She also spent a summer in London working as a co-op student at Latham & Watkins LLP.

After completing the bar admission course, Nellie was admitted as a member of the Law Society of Alberta, on June 24, 2011.

Nellie enjoys reading, yoga and traveling.

Volunteer Activities
Nellie is actively involved in Calgary’s Ismaili Muslim Community in various capacities. Currently, she is volunteering as a mentor to Ismaili youth who have recently immigrated to Canada from Afghanistan. She also volunteers her time at the Mustard Seed.

 

A.B. (Sandy) Cameron

Sandy has practiced law in Southern Alberta since 1978, with interests in real estate conveyancing, new home construction and condominium issues, and was a founding partner of Cameron Horne Law Office.

Sandy retired from fulltime practice at the end of 2006.  Sandy’s favourite hobbies are golfing and traveling.  He is happily married to Marie, since 1971, and has two daughters, Alixe and Meghan.  Sandy and Marie welcomed their first grandchild in 2009.
